You call, or we call you back
One conversation, usually about ten minutes. We ask the five questions that determine which options are open to you: sale date, reinstatement amount, how far behind, who the lender is, and what is owed. Nothing is sold in this call.
We look up what was actually filed
Foreclosure documents are recorded publicly, and people are frequently wrong about what stage they are at. We check the record so the dates we are working from are real ones rather than what someone remembers receiving.
You get the options that fit, in writing
Not all six. The two or three that actually apply, what each one would require from you, and what the realistic outcome is. Including the ones we have nothing to do with, like a HUD counselor or a bankruptcy attorney.
You decide, or you do not
Most people we talk to never become a customer of anything. That is a normal outcome and not a failure. If you want help executing one of the options, we will tell you exactly what that involves and what it costs.
What we will not do
- We will not charge you a fee to review your situation or explain your options.
- We will not promise you that your home can be saved. Your lender decides that.
- We will not tell you to stop talking to your lender, your lawyer, or a housing counselor.
- We will not ask you to sign over your deed or send your mortgage payments to us.
- We will not pressure you to decide on the first call.
